Hey guys,

I have been so blessed in my life to have great parents, wonderful friends, and fantastic fans!

To be honest I never even imagined that somewhere in the world kids are dying because they do not have clean drinking water. I knew that food was a problem; kids not having enough to eat, but I just assumed that everyone at least had access to water; water is free right?...

Gaga: The Piece de Resistance

The 2010 MTV video music awards were held in Los Angeles this weekend.  There were high expectations for the event--expectations that comedienne Chelsea Handler would bomb (she did), hype of a Taylor Swift / Kanye West rematch, and Justin Bieber-fever in the 'Best New Artist' category.

All of the above came to fruition...but of course it was all overshadowed by Lady Gaga.  Nominated in 13 categories, Gaga took home eight awards for her "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" music videos.  When it came time to accept the award for 'Video Of The Year', she came on stage wearing a meat dress by Franc Fernandez.

Yes, a meat dress.  PETA is going to have a field day with this one.

According to HollywoodReporter.com, E! has ordered a new series that crosses a wedding competition with extreme plastic surgery.

The network is set to announce "Bridalplasty," where brides-to-be compete in wedding-themed challenges to win extensive surgical procedures.

Each week, a group of women competes head-to-head in such challenges as writing wedding vows and planning honeymoons. The winner receives the chance to choose a plastic surgery procedure from her "wish list." She's given the procedure immediately, and results are shown at the start of the following week's episode.

The last bride standing will receive a "dream wedding," where she will reveal her new appearance to friends, family and the groom.

More details regarding the show, including hosts and the producers backing this project can be seen at the source.

One of my favorite book series as a child was R.L. Stine's "Goodbumps".  I would order the newest books each time my school received the Scholastic Book Club catalog

Now, according to HollywoodReporter.com, the books are going to be adapted to film.  The "Red Dawn" and "Disturbia" co-writer [Carl Ellsworth] has come aboard to write the screenplay for a live-action feature adaptation " for Columbia Pictures.

No word on a release date.

I have been a follower of the American version of "American Idol" since season 1.  (I think it peaked during that season, to be honest.)  And now, to make it's 10th season, Idol is doing something that it never has before: Online auditions.

MTV.com just announced that for the first time, "Idol" hopefuls can submit online audition videos to MySpace.

From now through October 6, singers between the ages of 15 and 28 can submit an audition video. Entrants must perform a song a cappella.  "Auditions will be judged in a similar fashion to the live audition cities and a select number will advance to the next round of callbacks in Los Angeles."

For more details and information on how to apply, visit the following page: http://www.myspace.com/americanidol

Gabourey Sidibe, known for her starring role in "Precious", is one of four celebrities to appear on Elle Magazine's 25th anniversary issue.

But is is the real Gabourey on the cover?

On the cover [pictured above], Sidibe’s skin appears to be lighter than
her natural colour.

In a statement the magazine said that “nothing out of the ordinary” had been done to the photograph. “We have four separate covers this month and Gabby's cover was not retouched any more or less than the others”.

The song is a cover of Alicia Keys and Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind".

Nick Nantell, vice president of development at the Dan Jinks Co., will be involved in a producing capacity in "Pinocchio."

Jinks told Daily Variety that he was inspired by Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" to begin work on a new version of "Pinocchio." "I think we've found a fresh approach that's going to be very entertaining," he added.
